Dear Emily,
While you are away having ALL SORTS OF FUN at Grandma and Papock’s house all this week, my days are spent getting in touch with my inner child and doing silly things like jumping up and down on the bed….
….eating pink waffles with marshmallows and chocolate syrup for breakfast…..
… doing funny photo shoots with Merlin and Samba…..
…playing with Clara…
….and begging Daddy to make some of his famous peach ice cream with these peaches!
When you come home, let’s do all of these things together. Wouldn’t that be fun??

@ Mom and Kiddo — I have to say I wasn't sure about the orange wall color at first, but after it was done I fell completely in love with it. Every time I go into that room, the color makes me smile!

I just used a few drops of red food coloring. Emily is convinced that they taste like strawberries for some reason.

We left Emily's room plain white for a few years, until she developed enough of a personality. I picked out the "creamsicle orange" almost on a whim, as I thought it fit her personality. She loved it and wanted to help me paint!
