We were delighted to see Danita’s girls at From the Land of Pleasant Living and Joyful Mommy and Joyful Child having fun while making their own salty snowman pictures!
For a fun (and free!) activity this Winter, wait until it is almost time for bed, then dress the kids in their PJ’s with winter coats and blankets. Make up hot cocoa in a thermos, and load everyone into the car.
Find a radio station playing Christmas music, and drive around your neighborhood to see all the holiday lights!
Okay, I have NO IDEA why Santa is steering a pirate ship in the above photo (right side)…????
Drive carefully, and have fun!!
Also, I should announce that the winner of the snowman teapot giveaway courtesy of Tender Heart Treasures is Donna and the winner of the surprise giveaway is The girl who painted trees!! Congratulations!!! Thanks to everyone who entered these fun giveaways… another one starts soon!

Dear Valerie,
Santa's pirate ship even had a motorized reindeer (with binoculars!) which would move up and down in the crow's nest.
Clearly Santa hijacks cargo ships in order to collect his toys. Those swashbuckling elves can be ruthless, too.
Love,
Mark

We did the same thing tonight — no pirate Santas unfortunately.

I want to drive around YOUR neighbourhood!
Mind you, that mightn't be so frugal, what with the flights and everything.

we always do this! it's better than the light shows you pay for b/c you never know what you're going to get!

I should do that with my children. They love to see the lights. I'll leave out the hot chocolate though. LOL… You know me.
