I love this idea with the oatmeal! It makes so much sense and cost-wise allows you to get "bigger" than the old dishpan of rice that so many of us have used similarly (but on a much smaller scale). Brilliant!

My daughter's preschool had something like this, but they used dried beans instead of the oatmeal. The kids loved it.

This is genius! My kiddo loves to play in sandboxes, and I HATE sand – it just gets E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E! I think an oatmeal box might be a addition in our home. Thanks so much for the idea.

Gosh that looks like fun! Too bad my little guy is 16 and I don't have an excuse to do this. Maybe in 10 years or so with grandkids is a possibility.
