Super Easy Monster Hand Puppet

Clara made her own monster hand puppet, just in time for Halloween — and she did it all by herself!! (With the help of a few self-adhesive googly eyes, that is….)  Have I mentioned that she has a tendency to get into the craft supplies if I’m not careful…??

I don’t know about you, but I find this monster to be both terrifying and hilarious at the same time.

Look out, Mister, I’ve got my eye on you!!

Be afraid… be very afraid!!

Wishing you and your family a wonderful weekend!

  1. Dear Valerie,

At least this time the googly eyes did not end up adhered to the TV!

    Love,
    Mark

  2. The eyes have it! Looks like she had fun.

  3. Looks like she had fun!

  4. Go, Clara! This monster is awesome!

My kids LOVE to get into my googly eyes, but mine aren’t adhesive so they just get EVERYWHERE. I even found one in the washing machine this week!

    • It must be so funny to find them in the washing machine! They end up in some strange places sometimes. 🙂

  5. I’m glad she stuck them to her fingers, instead of eating them! 🙂

  6. hehe thats great!! She looks like she had a blast playing with those 😛

  7. I was thinking exactly the same thing as Almost Unschoolers – at least all eyes are out.

  8. Ahhh- it reminds me of Oobi…

  9. It doesn’t matter where you stand, those eyes seem to follow you. There is something eerie when you find a lone wobbly eye staring up from somewhere you wouldn’t expect.

  10. I loved your DIY back to school supplies that I just had to share with my readers!

Love your blog and all the fun stuff you do with your kids!

  11. forgot to mention in the previous comment….I love the googly eyed monster!!! How old was Clara when you started to do crafts with her? I’m excited to get started with Grace (16 mnoths old). I bought a big sketch pad and chubby crayolas yesterday and we’ve been scribbling! Can’t wait to take her to the Crayola Factory!!!

    • You will have so much fun at the Crayola Factory!! I started doing crafts with both of the girls when they were about 17 or 18 months, and they weren’t putting things in their mouths anymore. Chubby crayons are a great first start — have fun!!

  12. Yea, that is cute and scary. I don’t think I’d want her chasing me with that hand.

  13. Hahaha, this is coo cute!

  14. Valerie. This monster is terrifying!!!!

Do you know my 4 year old baby cut my 3 year old baby´s pyjamas yesterday morning with a scissors??
She loves take craft supplies too!!!

    • Oh no!! I’m always afraid someone will get a hair cut with the scissors one of these days….. yikes!

  15. Reminds me of this craft…
